Experience The Dynamic Rehabilitation Difference
Why Our Concept Works...
If you isolate and exercise the injured muscles of the spine, most pain can be treated successfully.
This concept (left) can only be accomplished with state-of-the-art MedX rehabilitation equipment. While an individual is being rehabilitated through exercise, there is no pelvic rotation and we achieve lumbar function which is essential for effective rehabilitation.
Lumbar Function:
1) Restrain hips, gluteals and thighs.
2) Stabilize the Pelvis
3) Low back muscles are then isolated while the patient flexes and extends the spine.
4) As strength and flexibility increases, pain decreases.
*Combining pelvic stabilization with exercise is the only way to significantly strengthen weak muscles of the spine.
And Others Don't...
Muscle isolation is the key to successful spinal rehabilitation. It is imperative that the pelvis not be free to rotate during exercise.
If the pelvis rotates (right), larger muscle groups such as the hamstrings and gluteals will compensate for weaker low back muscles. This is called hip function which we want to avoid if we hope to achieve successful rehabilitation.
Hip Function:
1) Pelvis rotates during exercise.
2) Hips, gluteals and thighs flex and extend the spine instead of the low back muscles
3) Low back muscles remain inactive and weak.
*If the pelvis is free to rotate, larger muscle groups such as the hamstrings and gluteals will compensate for weaker low back muscles, leaving them inactive and weak.
MedX is the only technology that specifically isolates, tests, strengthens and rehabilitates weakened extensor muscles of the cervical spine. MedX accomplishes this by stablizing the upper trunk area of the body resulting in isolation of the cervical (neck) area.
Our treatment program takes a comprehensive, pro-active and structured approach to strengthen a patient psychologically, as well as physically. This approach enables Dynamic Rehabilitation patients to overcome previous disability, dysfunction and restrictions of chronic pain to restore the quality of their lives.
The Dynamic Rehabilitation approach is consistent with decades of exercise science research in areas of musculoskeletal strength and endurance. Rehabilitation exercises are precisely measured and monitored for muscular strength, endurance and performance. The Dynamic Rehabilitation treatment program is safe and cost effective.
Typically, patients will treat with us 2-3 times a week for a period of 8 to 10 weeks with each visit lasting approximately 45 minutes.
